What age groups do you coach?

We coach players from around age 5 right through to U16. Every group session is banded by age and ability so players are always challenged at the right level — beginners and experienced club players are equally welcome.

Question 2

What should my child bring to a session?

Trainers or moulded boots (no blades on some surfaces), shin pads, a water bottle and weather-appropriate kit. Bring a football if you have one, though we always provide plenty. Goalkeepers should bring gloves if they have them.

Do you run girls-only and boys-only sessions?

Yes. Our Dorchester girls-only sessions give girls a dedicated, supportive space to develop, and we run boys-only groups alongside mixed-ability centres. If you're unsure which suits your child best, get in touch and we'll advise.

Question 4

What is your cancellation and bad-weather policy?

Please cancel or reschedule through your Ovatu booking confirmation at least 24 hours before the session. If we have to cancel a session for weather or unsafe pitch conditions, we'll message you as early as possible and either reschedule or credit the session.

Question 5

How do 1-1 sessions work?

1-1 coaching is available at Dorchester, Weston and Pawlett. You choose a time that suits you, and the coach builds the session around your player's specific goals — weaker foot, positional detail, confidence, or trial preparation. Sessions typically run for an hour.

Question 6

How do the Saturday Team Trials work?

Saturday Trials are for players aged 14–18 looking for competitive football and a pathway to representative football. Players are assessed over a session of technical work and small-sided games, and successful players are offered a place in the NGFC Saturday squad for the season.

Do you offer a pathway to academy or representative football?

For players who want it, yes. Through Elite Development Games and Saturday Team Trials we create real opportunities to be seen — and we prepare players honestly for what that level demands.
