About NGFC

Built for players, trusted by parents

Next Generation Football Coaching was founded to give young players across Somerset and Dorset consistently high-quality coaching, whatever their starting point.

Our Story

NGFC started with a simple observation: plenty of young players love football, but too few get the individual attention they need to genuinely improve. Big squads, short training slots and limited touches on the ball hold players back.

We built something different — small groups, qualified coaches and sessions designed around real development. What began at a single venue now runs across multiple centres in Somerset and Dorset, with hundreds of players training with us each month.

Whether a child is kicking a ball properly for the first time or preparing for an academy trial, they train with the same coaching standards and the same belief: every player can get better.

Our Coaching Philosophy

We develop three things in every session, in this order — because a confident player with good habits will keep improving long after they leave us.

Technical Ability

Repetition with purpose — ball mastery, first touch, both feet, and the skills to beat a player.

Confidence

A positive environment where mistakes are part of learning and every player is encouraged to try.

Character

Discipline, resilience and respect — the habits that matter long after the final whistle.

A Genuine Pathway

For players who want to push on, we create real opportunities: Elite Development Games in front of invited coaches and scouts, and Saturday Team Trials for ages 14–18. We're honest with families about what each level demands — and we prepare players properly for it.

Meet the Coaches

Our team of dedicated coaches are committed to developing the next generation of football talent.
